Stan has been excellent with our young, boisterous Rottie, Bodhi. We wanted to work with someone who understands the Rottweiler breed and has experience with large, high-drive dogs. Our goal was to become knowledgeable and prepared for taking Bodhi on walks and developing his off-lead and recall skills around other dogs, allowing him to enjoy controlled freedom in our parks. Stan helped us understand Bodhi’s behaviours and guided us in using his drive and positive reinforcement to master recall. Now, Bodhi can enjoy off-lead walks and reliably come when called. Stan is patient and calm, and provides ongoing support outside of sessions to address any questions or issues faced along the journey.
Stanley Drew from Beyond Your Lead is an excellent dog trainer. His friendly, personable approach with our dogs and us was lovely. No question was too much and his patience & support as I struggled to put his professional advice into practice was appreciated.
I can already see changes in my dog’s behaviour after just one session.

Our rescue from Bosnia started displaying aggression towards people when he turned 1 and resorted to biting whenever he was uncertain about a new person. This behaviour became so concerning to us especially because of his size and resulted in us not having people around our flat for nearly 2 years while also struggling to find care for him if we ever wanted to go away. Our goal for Moose was to make caring for him manageable and safe in our absence.
Although we still have a long path ahead of us, Stanley has shown us realistic steps we can take when introducing our dog to new people. Stanley's experience with aggressive dogs was apparent when interacting with Moose and was invaluable to helping us reach our goal.
About Stanley – Founder of Beyond Your Lead
Stanley is the founder of Beyond Your Lead, bringing nearly a decade of hands-on experience in dog training and behaviour modification. He is skilled at resolving a wide range of behavioural challenges, from basic training issues to more complex cases such as reactivity and aggression towards people and other dogs.
While Stanley specialises in working with high-energy dogs, his experience extends across a variety of temperaments and breeds. Over the years, he has built extensive knowledge of canine behaviour, always combining practical experience with continuous professional development through courses and workshops.
Stanley’s philosophy is rooted in adaptability: there is no “one-size-fits-all” method. His open-minded attitude ensures he can meet each dog’s unique needs while helping owners feel confident and supported.
A strong believer in the power of the human–canine bond, Stanley focuses on strengthening the relationship between dog and owner. By setting clear rules and boundaries, he helps foster a trusting, healthy partnership built on mutual respect.
Rescue dogs hold a special place in Stanley’s heart. He has worked with numerous welfare organisations and rescue centres, helping to rehabilitate dogs and guide new owners through the challenges of rehoming. For Stanley, there is no greater reward than giving a dog a second chance at a better life.
